a positive take on FEMEN from Kiev, the ANTI-FEMEN

Enjoy!
We learned more about the original FEMEN iIn Amsterdam, the Netherlands, where there is currently the World Press Photo Exhibition (12 winners) 2012 http://www.worldpressphoto.org/ and together with Stinkfish and Bastardilla from Colombia, we went to check it out.
One of the most popular pieces was the photograph of FEMEN group.

Olympics Mishka is still there, greeting the visitors of the UEFA Euro 2012 cup in modern Ukraine.
That’s why I like going back home once or twice a year - the change is so visible - and they still don’t throw anything away, they just pile up new stuff on!
Enjoy!
“there lived a dog”
the dog got old, people got pissed off and kicked him out.
the dog went to the woods to die, met a wolf.
wolf felt sorry for the dog and tought him how to scam the people.
people got the dog his old job back.
wolf left the village: ”So, if anything, call me!”
One of my favourite things to do, when I lived in Kiev as a student 20 years ago, was to walk around and get to know the buildings. They are truly magnificent and in a way, different to New York, London or Paris. They are cosy and warm and charming.
Even if you decide not to buy anything, markets are an integral part of Ukrainian culture. The variety of produce and zillions of ways in which it is sold, delivered, loved is a kaleidoscope not to miss out on.
There are plenty left around in the remote regions of the city. For those who wish to run away for a day and take some amazing photos, these secret treasures should do the trick!

On the 20t of May in London there will take place the 16th Cup of V.V. Lobanovkyi in amature mini-football. This is the largest football tournament for Russian speaking expats in United Kingdom with teams coming from Manchester, Oxford and other cities. This year the tournament will be held in Tottenham, close to the Olympic stadium.
Valeriy Vasylyovych Lobanovskyi was a Ukrainian footballmanager. He is most famous for his spells managing Dynamo Kyiv, the Ukraine national football team, and the USSR national football team. In 1975 his Dynamo Kyiv team became the first side from the Soviet Union to win a major European trophy when they beat Hungarian side Ferencváros in the final of the Cup Winners’ Cup.
Just like Europeans like to sit on the terraces of the cafes, Ukrainians like to ‘promenade’ or take a walk. We call it ‘breathing fresh air’.
